Diocese of Kochi

Kochi has held a prominent place throughout the history of the Malankara Orthodox Church, formed as a diocese in 1877. The Malabar, Kunnamkulam, and Sulthan Bathery dioceses were originally part of Kochi's territory before later being separated as dioceses of their own.
