The seven who guide the project as a whole — its Global Director, Assistant Global Director, Co-Global Secretaries, Assistant Global Secretary, and Spiritual Advisors.
Andrew Punnoose
Andrew is a student living in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. He is from the Mullamangalathu Vengalil family, a branch of the Aruveedan Valiyaveettil family of Kallooppara and has roots in Maramon, Karackal and Mavelikara. Baptized by Very Rev. Geevarghese Ramban (episcopal candidate), he serves his home parish as an acolyte. Andrew founded Malankara Map and continues to lead the project worldwide as its Global Director, coordinating the diocesan and zonal coordinators who help keep this directory current.
Andrew Varughese
Andrew is a student in Warrington, Pennsylvania. In Kerala, he has roots in Mavelikara and Vennikulam and is part of the Vadakkethalackal family. Baptized in 2011 by H.G. Dr. Gabriel Mar Gregorios, he now serves as an acolyte at Bensalem St. Gregorios Orthodox Church and is an active member of the MGOCSM and other youth ministries. As Assistant Global Director, he helps coordinate the team behind Malankara Map — and the site’s background music is his own contribution to the project.
Allan Panicker
Allan is based in Mumbai, where he works as a Senior Analyst at Airbnb. Outside of his corporate career, he is deeply involved with the Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (OCYM), focusing on engaging and mentoring young people within the church community. As Co-Global Secretary, he supports the coordination of Malankara Map’s growing team while continuing to serve as Bombay Diocesan Coordinator. In his free time, he enjoys reading and listening to music.
Rinzu Rajan
Rinzu was born and raised in Delhi and is a biotechnology researcher turned patent lawyer. She is from the ancient Pulipra family of Kuravilangad. After living in several Indian cities, she moved to Canada and the Netherlands for further study. She recently completed a four-month course in Orthodox Christian Nurture, organised by the Calcutta Diocese, before enrolling in Divyabodhanam. An avid reader and writer, and an author in her own right, she aspires to deepen her knowledge of Orthodox theology and church history while pursuing her entrepreneurial ambitions.
Jerin Cherian
Jerin was born and raised in Bangalore, where he is a member of Jalahalli St. Mary’s Orthodox Church and leads the Bangalore Diocese’s Music Ministry as an active choir member. Professionally, he works as a Team Lead at one of the Big Four firms while also pursuing his own entrepreneurial ventures, and he recently completed a four-month course in Orthodox Christian Nurture run by the Calcutta Diocese. He has served on the Executive Committees of both MGOCSM and OCYM in the Bangalore Diocese, and continues to encourage young people to engage in faith, fellowship, music, and service.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Ninan V. George
Rev. Fr. Dr. Ninan V. George holds an M.Sc., M.Ed., B.D., and Master of Divinity (M.Div.), along with a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC). He lives in Pandalam and is married with two children, including Rev. Fr. Gregory Ninan. He has served parishes in the USA and England, and currently holds the respected position of Global Secretary of the Akhila Malankara Vaidika Sanghom. He is also Andrew Punnoose’s spiritual mentor.
Rev. Fr. Jibin Philip
Rev. Fr. Jibin Philip was born and raised in Mundappally, near Adoor in Pathanamthitta. After completing his B.Com, he became actively involved in church life, and it was then that he met Zacharias Mar Theophilos Thirumeni, who brought him to Thadagam Ashram, Coimbatore, in 2013 to become a priest of the Malabar Diocese. Though he did not take to the place at first and returned home, a week of unease and the counsel of another drew him back, and he has never since wished to leave. By God’s grace, he continues at the Ashram as a priest and as Administrative Officer of Bishop Walsh Memorial Hospital, and he looks back on his life as a testimony to God’s grace.
